I install the shades with inside mount setting. The shades have a pretty large gap, 5/8 inches or 15 cm, on either side of the window. This caused light leaking from the both sides. The blackout shades are basically useless to block the lights.
Besides, I noticed 2 tears of the shade fabric. Obviously, the fabric was not handled properly in the manufacturing process.
We moved to our first house a few months back and we have this high windows that were covered with this ugly sticker decals and these blinds have been life changing! We chose a light color and they look so nice and sleek. They still block out the sun even though they’re a lighter color and keep it from getting too hot in the living room. They were super accurate with the measurements and fit like a dream. We plan to get more in the future. Highly recommend.
